And so it begins…The Washi Journey. I’m actually pretty nervous about it, and I think I’ve looked at every photo in the Flickr stream to see how people do them, and watched the lining videos multiple times, and man…she makes it look so easy. I guess when you think about it, it really should be pretty easy as long as you follow the instructions. There aren’t that many stitches to do. It’s just out of my typical comfort zone.
I read through the pattern a few times and I’ve started cutting out the muslin to make a test bodice. I’m not sure if I need to do a full bust adjustment or not yet, but that is what this test is for anyways. I’m hoping I don’t need to though. I don’t have much going on this weekend (unlike the next few weeks) so I figure I should be able to get the whole dress done.
Wish me luck! 🙂
By the way, as I sew or cut patterns/fabric or whatever I love to watch shows on Netflix. The one I just recently started watching is Glee. I am so in love with this show! It’s awesome! The cool thing is my daughter loves it too and we will watch it together even when not sewing. This was on in the background while I was taking these pictures. I’m in Season Two and so far it’s been a real tear jerker! Next up will be the new Sherlock episodes. Yay!
