In preparation for the next quilt I want to make for JJ, I knew I wanted to try to do a hexy quilt. I looked around the interwebs for some tutorials on how to do them and I found a cheater template that I could use. OMG! So cool! I figured I would buy a few sizes and try them out. If I liked the look maybe I would do a real hexy quilt.
I bought three new templates to try out. (The picture looks cool because they look like they are glowing.) I purchased all of them through the Missouri Quilt Co. The first one is the 10″ cheater hexy template and is the one I’m going to use with the Berenstain Bears Layer Cakes for JJ. The second is the same thing, but is a 5″ half hex template that can be used on charm packs. The last is a 5″ tumbler template. This one I have no idea how I’m going to use yet, but I think it’ll make something cool, maybe a cute baby blanket.
Have any of you used any of these templates that I can steal some advice from?
